The service at Baines River Camp was second to none. A personal service that made us feel special. We stayed for 3 nights. From the moment we arrived we were given activities and it didn’t stop until we left.
We went on 3 drives in the National Park. Just my wife and I with a spotter and driver. They did everything they could to find the animals we wished to see. On the last day we managed to get close to a Leopard as well as seeing Hunting Dogs eat a kill. Jimmy and Gibs were very knowledgeable; they were brilliant. We also had 2 night drives and a fishing expedition. The sun downers were great!
Every morning we left the camp early by speed boat to reach the National Park. It was exhilarating, passing many Hippos and Crocodiles on the way. On the return journey we also saw Elephant and Cape Buffalo.
Every time we returned to camp Stephan, Zena and David were there to greet us.
The accommodation was spotless and the food delicious.
We travelled to the camp by plane, 12 seater, and were met by our driver.
I only have positives for the place, no negatives.

Family and friends had the pleasure of staying at Baines’ River Camp Zambia. I feel confident in speaking for the group as a whole that our stay was above and beyond any expectations any of us were expecting! We wanted for nothing and were looked after from the moment we arrived to the time we unfortunately had to leave! The Staff, Guides and Management were all exemplary! Our game drives both around the Camp area and in the National Parks allowed us to see Lion, Leopard, Wild Dog, Buff and plenty Ele’s. On the river we pulled in 5 Tiger over 16 lbs along with a few vundu and other smaller Tiger. The food and service back in camp was amazing and endless!! Thank you all for such an incredable stay. Sure to be back some day soon!

Excellence comes naturally to the staff at Baines’. Excellent food, accommodation and staff are the norm. The fishing was excellent with 15 Tigers caught and safely released over three days. Thank you to Al the staff who made our pre wedding celebration so wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay at the camp. Our guides Leonard and Moses are really knowledgeable and experienced. They got so many fun facts and anecdotes packed for our fishing trips and game drives. All the staff are so friendly and wonderful. And the food with the new chef was amazing! A hippo visited our lodge one night. That was a cool and somehow nerve wracking experience, but the staff managed it really well and I appreciate how they treated the wild animals with utter respect and love.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Guides (Moses and Jimmy) were extremely knowledgeable and fun. Saw incredible wildlife. The hosts Zena, Stephan and David made you feel very welcome and they went above and beyond. From locating (retrieving) my Husbands iPad in Victoria Falls, surprise birthday cakes and much much more. The cottages are stunning. Crazy visits from elephants at night – hilarious but grateful for skills of the night watchmen. The visit created memories for life. Ohhh and the afternoon fishing was awesome. Especially while having a cold glass of Chardonnay!!! I could go on.

Tiger fishing and game viewing on the lower Zambezi National Park by boat or game vehicle. Not to mention the unbelievably friendly staff who go out of their way to plan around each day you are there. Seamless getting to and from Lusaka International and the lodge will arrange all connections. Also PB tigerfish on fly!
